Your Guide to Getting started with E-Books

Wondering how to get started?

To access Winnebago Public Library's new E-Book collection:

1. On our website click on "E-Books" located in white at the top of the page on the black banner.
2. In the new screen click "sign-in" at the top right-hand corner.
3. Sign in with your username and password.
4. Browse and checkout books!

What's my username and password?
Your username is your library card number which is the 14-digit number on the back of your Winnebago Public Library card. Your password is your last name. All letters are lowercase.

How do I navigate?
Once you are signed in, you will notice featured collections: E-Book Fiction, Children and Teen, Audiobook Fiction, and Non-Fiction. Browse to find a book you're looking for or click on the magnifying glass to do a search. Don't see what you're looking for? Please let library staff know as a suggested purchase!

Once you find material you want to check out notice on the book's right hand corner is a book icon which is either bold (available) or light gray. If the book icon is light gray then the material is checked out. You can put a hold on material by hovering your mouse over the book and clicking "Place hold". It's important to have an email address you check frequently because you will be notified by this email address when it becomes available.

Remember there is a "help" button with a question mark for your convenience if you need assistance!

We are happy to answer questions about personal tablet and e-readers. One-on-one training is offered to WPL cardholders and can be scheduled at your convenience. Stop by the service desk or give us a call.
